Camp Carysbrook provides a place where girls experience true community, living and working together in a beautiful, natural setting. Our flexible program of group and individual, organized and impromptu activities allows each camper to discover her own abilities, challenge herself to accomplish new goals, and experience the satisfaction of personal growth.

At the same time, the traditional camp environment allows girls to learn about the rewards and challenges of being part of a group – relying upon one another to tackle common goals and accomplish more than they might individually. The balance of self-expression and collective experience is what makes Camp Carysbrook a place like no other – a part of their lives that girls will remember forever.

As an organization, we commit to cultivating a community that values a physically and emotionally safe environment and pledge to support camper and staff families to achieve the outcomes that are a hallmark of a summer to remember at Camp Carysbrook regardless of racial, social, cultural, religious, or economic background.

To that end, staff will receive diversity and inclusion training including but not limited to racism, sexism, discrimination based on nationality, sexual orientation, ability, or socioeconomic status, as well as training to combat bias and microaggressions in addition to training regarding privilege and allyship. Campers will receive age-appropriate anti-bias education as part of settling in to their cabin to increase understanding of differences and their value to a respectful and civil society and to actively challenge bias, stereotyping and all forms of discrimination in our community.
